About Our Presenters

Barb & Eric

Dr. Eric Goulder is the founder of the Heart Attack and Stroke Prevention Center of Central Ohio (HASPC), which opened in July 2017 in Worthington, Ohio. After graduating from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1976, he worked for 20 years as a cardiologist at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio followed by 14 years at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He then opened HASPC. In 2012 he was introduced to the Bale Doneen Method, which incorporates the most current, research-based information, along with painless non-invasive tests, simple blood tests and genetic testing to help predict and prevent heart attacks and ischemic strokes. He is an accredited provider of the Bale Doneen Method. At HASPC Dr. Goulder looks for early asymptomatic arterial disease and evidence of arterial inflammation to stabilize the arterial disease and thereby reduce the risk of cardiovascular events. As dental infections and oral inflammation are key drivers of arterial disease, he has partnered with Dr. Barb McClatchie, DDS.

Barb’s practice, Complete Health Dentistry of Columbus, employs a team of professionals specializing in both general restorative dentistry and oral systemic research-based methods that ensure optimal oral and heart health. As an accredited provider of the Bale Doneen Method, she works in partnership with, Eric. Together, they support other medical and dental professionals to help identify high-risk patients, and prevent them from having heart attacks and strokes, as well as dementia.

Dr. McClatchie is Pankey trained, and is one of the first dentists in Ohio to be dental certified in Dale Bredesen’s Precode/Recode protocol for reversing cognitive decline through dental medicine, which was the topic of last month’s Practice Perfection webcast.

She is a key opinion leader for the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health (AAOSH), Perio Protect, Probiora Health, and serves on many advisory boards.

As an attendee you will learn:

To understand the value of medical-dental collaboration and how we, as healthcare providers can impact our patients’ total body health.
The benefit that periodontal treatment has on medical inflammatory testing through actual case studies

How a multi-faceted approach to periodontal disease can impact total body inflammatory burden and decrease our patients’ overall risk for a cardiovascular event.
