ADM’s president Daniel A. ‘Danny’ Bobrow is headed to Nepal to visit one of his Foundation’s oral health education and treatment projects. On October 19th, Bobrow will meet with In-country partner Laurie Mathews to inspect the School, located in eastern Kathmandu.
The following day, he flies to Lukla to begin a trek to Everest Base Camp (17,700 asl), followed by and attempted summit of Island Peak (20,005 asl). Along the way, Bobrow will distribute tooth brushes to schools located in and around Namche Bazaar.
In 2014, Bobrow reached 20,000 feet on Ama Dablam. This year, equipped with a new acclimatization regimen, including medications and the aforementioned treks, he plans to ‘finish what I started.’
While internet and cellular access is rare in the Khumbu Valley, Bobrow hopes to connect periodically at villages that are so equipped and send dispatches of his progress.
“I’ll do my best to keep those with an interest kept apprised of my progress.” says Bobrow.
